Art is a wonderful gateway to self-discovery as well as expression and celebration. On each Women’s Quest retreat we engage in a  variety of fun, creative activities to help open up your heart’s desire. Discover visual clues, forgotten dreams, unheeded urges, and create a powerful roadmap for the realization of those dreams—both great and small. Personal collages, prayer flags, beading, painting and sketching are some of the techniques we enjoy on retreat.
 
 
Art on Tuscany Retreats
 
On our Tuscany retreats all those who wish can enjoy a watercolor painting/ sketching class in the spectacular landscape of our villa estate, and learn ideas for illustrating your personal journals.
 
Engaging in a creative activity is a wonderful way to connect with the present moment, to absorb the essence, and truly participate in the magnificent landscape surrounding us at our Tuscan home. Take time to tune-in: What colors are there? What is the shape of that tree? How can I remember the glow of light on that stone wall forever?
We will teach you ways to enjoy watercolor, colored pencils, or pen and ink,  with instruction for all levels.
You will never forget the scent of the breeze, the gentle shifting of the light, what kind of day it was, during your painting moments in Tuscany.
 
In addition to our hands-on class, we encourage you to keep a journal with you for writing and sketching during your retreat. We will have guided tours of art-filled towns like Siena and Pienza, to appreciate the bounteous frescoes, paintings and sculpture, integral to the Italian experience
