Eclipses: Cosmic Turning Points
Priestess Astrology with Cindy Morris, MSW
Priestess Entrepreneur and Astrologer-at-large
Imagine this. You’re going about your business when all of a sudden, in the daylight hours, the sky starts to darken. The air becomes still. Animals start to shuffle about, getting nervous. You look to the sky and a disk is moving across the life-giving Sun and then darkness prevails. Imagine how frightened you would be if you didn’t know what was happening! Throughout history people have turned to astrologers to find out what is going on and so I am here to tell you just that.
Eclipses herald times of significant change and movement and have been noted and studied since humans looked skyward. Records show that the Chinese calculated eclipses 3500 years ago and the Babylonians followed. Today, with our sophisticated equipment and measuring devices we can get pretty detailed about the whys, wherefores, and how-to’s of eclipses, and still the mystery remains.
Eclipses have been associated with major cataclysmic weather-related events like earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and such as well as human-activated events like bombings, wars, and your basic bad-behavior plundering. Things are always changing on Planet Earth and during an eclipse changes are triggered. Manifestation of the triggers can be seen starting about 6 months after the event. Wheels are set in motion and then, poof!, one day you are somewhere else, thinking new things, trying new things, morphing into new parts of yourself.
Where will an eclipse impact you in your personal life? Look to the sign and degree of the eclipse. Then look at your chart and see where that degree falls. Also look at the house where the eclipse falls-that will determine the area of your life that will be most greatly impacted. (Visit my website at http://PriestessAstrolgoy.com and email me to receive a FREE description of the houses). Also look to see what other planets are involved in the eclipse as their energy will add significantly to the story of change, movement, letting go, and release.
An eclipse is a shift in the vibrational alignment between the Earth, the Sun, and the Moon creating an analogous shift in the alignment of our own energies. We are not only on Earth but of Earth. What she experiences so do we, each in our own way, according to the constellation of energies in our own unique charts.
A SOLAR ECLIPSE occurs at the NEW MOON, when the Moon and the Sun are at the same degree in the same sign. The moon is in between the Earth and the Sun. From our perspective here on Earth it looks like the Moon is blotting out the Sun. A LUNAR ECLIPSE occurs at the FULL MOON, when the Moon is opposite the Sun. The Moon moves across the earth’s shadow,
We had a solar eclipse on June 1st, a lunar eclipse on June 15ht and another solar eclipse will occur on 1 July 2011.
Use the powerful force of the eclipses to propel yourself into new territory. Need your chart interpreted for you? I am available for informative, inspiring, and uplifting astrological consultations. Phone sessions only. Email me at cinnabelle.kohenet@gmail.com.
