To get the most out of the beauty of autumn in Vermont, we stay in the heart of the Green Mountains at the Trout Club in Stowe Vermont. Our playground is tucked along Vermont’s 265-mile Long Trail and includes great freshwater lakes, breathtaking views and spectacular forest trails for daily adventures.

We’ll paddle our canoes to the Boyden Valley Winery and indulge in a European winery experience, touring their fourth-generation farm and tasting their award-winning wines with gourmet cheeses, fresh fruit and breads. We’ll enjoy the vistas on a hike up to the 4,390-foot summit of Mt. Mansfield. We’ll kayak, swim, and swing from ropes in lovely fresh-water lakes and picnic in some serene out-of the-way spots. We will also visit the Trapp Family Lodge, the Cabot Annex, and Cold Hollow Cider Mill.

You’ll get prime instruction from supportive, encouraging professional athletes on mountain biking, trail running, yoga and dance. The food will offer taste without guilt, with no sweet tooth going unsatisfied. (Chances are we’ll end up on Ben & Jerry’s home turf for a post-swim ice cream cone at least once during the week.)
